Praise the Capital Police, Please
If there is a best place to display an effective, non-violent state response to an armed mob, then it’s the People’s House. I can’t think of a better place for this type of policing to happen. It actually makes me think there is hope for this country. The most powerful symbol of our democracy didn’t succumb to the use of violence to protect itself, and instead chose non-violence and patience. The state chose life over things. It gives me chills. I never thought I’d see it in my lifetime.
